The Alpha 900 is operated from a hand held remote attached to a 30 ft. (9 m) cord which has a simple ON/OFF switch. Alternatively, the machine can be operated from an optional Wireless Remote Control that can run the machine from 30 ft. (9 m).
Every feature of the Rosco Model 1700 has been evaluated and state-of-the-art technology applied to give long-life reliability and high performance. The machine delivers fog output equal to, or more, than previous fog machines, but in keeping with modern practice, draws low power - 1190W.
The Rosco Model 1700 has a remote control stored on board, with a 15 foot cable and fine control for volume as well as on-board timers. In addition, the Model 1700 can be operated from a lighting control board through an optional DMX interface. Another feature of the Model 1700 is that it can easily be daisy chained, allowing up to 4 machines to be operated from a single remote control.
The fog outlet cowling accepts the standard Rosco hose adaptor and ducting hose system. Like most Rosco fog machines, the Model 1700 can be operated with the Rosco Chiller Module or Rosco Coldflow for low-lying chilled fog. The Model 1700 gives a high burst of fog and then ramps back to give continuous fog at any volume setting with no interruption for a reheat cycle. With few replacement parts this machines proves to be an easy machine to service and maintain.
The Rosco Model 1700 accepts the 4L Rosco Fog Fluid bottle, which makes it accessible to the entire range of Rosco fluids. This versatile machine has many applications in theatre, clubs and rental.
Built on the same principles as the Model 1700, the Model 1900 offers control features that today's special effects professionals demand. These include volume control to allow the user to vary the output as well as on/off timers for automatic sequencing. Up to four Model 1900 machines can be operated from a single remote by simply running a standard 3-pin XLR cable from machine to machine. This is a popular feature in clubs or other large spaces.
The remote control, standard equipment for the Model 1900, is stored on the machine and comes with a 15 foot cable. An optional DMX control (the same as that used with the Model 1700) is available so that the 1900 can be easily operated from a lighting control console. The Model 1900 accepts the same standard hose adaptor and ducting hose as all other Rosco machines.
But the most unique feature of the Model 1900 is the extremely high output, which is almost twice as much as the Model 1700. With an initial high burst of fog the Model 1900 will fill the largest venues with fog in a very short time. After the initial burst, the Model 1900 will scale back the fog to operate continuously without interruption for a reheat cycle.
The Model 1900 is equipped with an electronic thermostat, a cast aluminum heat exchanger, and a piston pump, all for easy serviceability. In addition the heat exchanger has a resettable thermal trip for safety. The machine will hold a 4-liter bottle of fluid and is compatible with all standard Rosco fog fluids.
The heat exchanger of the Delta 3000, the heart of any fog machine, is made of cast aluminum housing a robust 1500 watt heater element. The design of the heat exchanger, along with a unique electronic thermostatic control, is the key to creating unparalleled volumes of smoke - volumes large enough to fill most stages in less than a minute.
The other major innovation of the Delta 3000 is the harnessing of the Delta Technology to control the fog effect. This state-of-the-art electronics design allows designers and technicians to use fog and smoke the way they use light or sound: to have the effect start on cue at the correct level and end on cue. The Delta 3000 makes that possible through the choice of three different remote control devices.
The Digital DMX Remote is the most sophisticated of these devices. The timers are "real time" timers which can be set in exact one-second increments from one second to 10 minutes. An LCD display on the device will display the operational menu in any of six languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese or Italian). The LCD display also works with a rotary encoder to make setting the DMX address easy and precise. It also provides the user with "error" messages when the machine is running low on fluid or cannot find a DMX signal.
The Analog DMX Remote offers volume control, DMX control and on/off sequencers. The interface is analog using hardy switches and knobs to operate the machine. The DMX address is easily set from three rotary potentiometers, rather than the cumbersome dip switches commonly used. The unit has a red LED to indicate that the Delta 3000 is running low on fluid.
The Timed Remote is designed for those situations where the fog machine will always require an operator, such as industrial applications. It has the same local volume control and timers as the Analog DMX Remote. It also has the red LED for signaling that the machine is running low on fluid, plus other LEDs to let the user know if the machine is heating or ready for operation.
Consuming more than nine liters of fog fluid per hour, this machine was developed to service very large stages, theme parks and particularly the demanding industrial applications that are now a significant market for fog machines. Industrial applications including military training, leak detection and safety training in buildings, aircraft and sea going vessels, demand high-output machines.
The key to the enormous output of the Delta 6000 is a new dual-path heat exchanger. The fluid moves along two paths that maximize the heat stored in the heat exchanger and emerges as fog in two side-by-side nozzles. This allows the machine to produce far more fog than the popular Delta 3000. It uses the same basic electronics as the Delta 3000, including built-in DMX as standard equipment. The Delta 6000 is available in 1500 watt, 120 volts or 2300 watt, 240 volt configurations.
The Delta 6000 is controlled by a choice of one of three remotes (see below).
Using the award winning Delta Technology™, the Delta Hazer has a variety of features not seen in other machines including: on-board DMX, low fluid sensor and auto timers. More importantly, the Delta Hazer has a new continuous self cleaning feature that insures long life. Like the rest of the Delta line, the Delta Hazer is easy to service and holds a large 4-liter bottle of Delta Haze fluid. Delta Hazer ONLY works with Rosco Delta Haze Fluid.
